1、help用作動詞的基本意思是「幫助」「援助」,即為他人提供所需或向某結果〔目的〕推進。引申可表示「有助〔利〕於」「救治」「克〔抑〕制」等。
2、help既可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞。用作及物動詞時,可接名詞、代詞或動詞不定式作賓語,也可接以動詞不定式充當補足語的複合賓語。接動詞不定式作賓語或賓語補足語時, to常可省略,但用於被動結構時, to則不能省。
