in canada, spelling is closer to traditional english. for example, in canada offence is written as offense in usa. same is like counselling in canada and counseling in usa.
regarding accent, canadian accent is closer to new england accent. new england means from vermont to maine, including boston. usa has too many accents, like new england, mid west like michigan, south like kentucky, deep south like louisanna and california.
accent in newfoundland, canada is slightly different from the rest of the country.
french is spoken in quebec, north ontario and new brunswick, but the accent is different from that in france.
